Frog 69 Hybrid Bike (26" 8-Speed)

The Frog 69 features a strong, high quality, lightweight frame, designed specifically for your child's size. The adjustable Tektro brakes inspire confidence and are easy to adjust for the reach of small hands. Features an 8-speed Shimano easy-change thumb shifters and an 8 speed cassette hub. Easily adjusted saddle height and now a shorter crank length of 127mm. Comes with a Kenda knobby off-road tire (that also performs well on the bike path).
Frog bikes are easier to pedal due to a unique crank design from the renowned bicycle engineer Dimitris Katsanis (of Team GB Olympic fame). The new design reduces the Q-factor (the space between the pedals), allowing children to push more directly down when cycling, so converting more of their energy into motion. Only Frog applies this level of rigor to the design of kids’ bikes.
Comes with a bell, reflectors and mudguards as standard.

Assembly
All Frog 69 bikes arrive 90% assembled. All you need to do is install the pedals, seat post, handlebars and front wheel. If you decide you want the optional mud guards on your bike, these will need to be installed also.
Our professional bike technician looks over every bike before it ships and switches the hand brakes to be standard for the US (rear on the right, front on the left).

This was our second time purchasing a Frog bike from Ready, Set, Pedal. Had a great experience the first time around. This time, when the bike arrived, it was unfortunately not set up properly and I had to take it to a local shop to get it rideable. I reached out to RSP and they promptly issued me a refund for the cost of the local shop's fee. As for the bike, it's just perfect! Our son spent two seasons on his 20" Frog and is just barely big enough for the 24" but loves it and adjusted to the bigger size right away. These Frog bikes are fantastic, even my local shop guys commented on how light and quality-made it is. One of them told me "we were all pretty impressed with it." I'll definitely buy from RSP again. Great company!

It was easy to set up. My son was riding his bike 20 mins after he opened the box. We had to adjust the saddle to make it a little more comfortable but then he was off riding over trails and learning his gears. Very happy customer.

I bought my 7 year old son a Frog 5 20" bike and it's an excellent product; lightweight, high quality, lots of great features and stylish. I called Ready, Set, Pedal to get some advice and discuss the pro's and con's of the different bikes that were on my shortlist. The people I spoke with were very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and discuss my purchase. It’s lightweight and worked pretty well for a year. Great for commuting to school. My kid rides single track/MTB trails and it worked fine, but the tires are skinny and the frame more upright than most kids he rode with. The back brakes had some issues after a few months and our bike mechanic explained it was an inexpensive brake (probably like many kids’ bikes) and the spring mechanism inside was going. I had hoped to get 2 seasons out of it but given the overall experience probably will upgrade to a more mountain bike style bike.
