Woom 2 FreeWheel Kit

Out of the box, the woom 2 comes with a coaster brake as well as two hand brakes. When your child becomes more experienced with hand braking and no longer needs to rely on the coaster brake you can have a mechanic retro fit the bike with this kit and remove the coaster brake functionality and use the two hand brakes only. The primary benefit of this modification is to allow for backpedaling without braking, and to provide a smoother drivetrain with less friction.

This optional conversion kit replaces your rear coaster hub with a freewheel hub.
Please note that a tire and tube are NOT included. We recommend getting the freewheel installed by a professional bike shop or certified mechanic. However, with a few tools and handiwork, the task can be completed at home. 

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission dictates that all bikes with a seat height 25” or less come with a coaster hub, however consumers do have the option to convert to a freewheel.

• Returns must be in NEW condition with original packaging and product tags.
• You are responsible for packaging and return shipping. You may purchase a return shipping label from us, which is likely your least expensive option with our discounted rates.
• We encourage testing your new item (for fit and/or function), but please keep it new (and hold on to packaging) until you are sure you're keeping it!
• Your original shipping cost is non-refundable.
