Description

SMOOTH ROLLING, WIDE GRIPPY TIRES. DURABLE. MADE FOR OFF-THE-BEATEN PATH FUN!

Built by Commencal, a European company with expertise in downhill and enduro bicycles, the Commencal RMNS 16" Mountain Bike is an ideal choice for your future mountain biker. The Ramones 16" Bike is designed to be playful, solid and tough enough to enable riding on and off-the-beaten-path. The sloping frame will help your child get on and off the bike easily. In fact, its design is identical to Commencal's adult, higher-end models. This creates a true mountain bike look and feel, just like mom and dad’s bikes!

Components are adapted and adjusted to their size and weight and will surely be important in developing the skills of the new generation of mountain bikers! Jumps and drifts, they’re not even scared! Tektro's child-specific mechanical disc brakes allow for plenty of stopping power with easy to reach brake levers. The high quality Aluminum frame ensures a bike light enough for your little rider to easily maneuver with stability and control.

Set the extra wide tires with a lower pressure and your child will have the smoothest, grippiest ride out there, rolling right over all rocks and bumps on the trail.

The Ramones 16" Mountain Bike is shipped with a freewheel (no coaster/back pedal brake). This bike includes pedals, bell, and front and rear lights.

*Please note that bike specs are subject to change without prior notice.

ASSEMBLY

The Commencal Ramones 16" arrives 90% assembled. For final assembly, install pedals, seat post, handlebars and front wheel. Instructions included.

Sizing

COMMENCAL RAMONES 16 SIZING

WHEEL SIZE	16"
RIDER HEIGHT	41" - 48"
RIDER AGE	4 - 6 years
MINIMUM INSEAM* (Beginner / Experienced Rider)	20.0" / 17.5"
MAXIMUM INSEAM (Experienced Rider)	20.5"
SEAT HEIGHT	20.5" - 24.0"
STANDOVER HEIGHT†	18.0"
BIKE WEIGHT (without Pedals)	17.6 lbs.

* MINIMUM INSEAM measurement for a child who is large enough to ride this bike. Beginner (or timid) riders must reach the ground comfortably and flat footed while straddling the seat, meaning their inseam must be close to the minimum seat height. Experienced (or confident) riders will be more comfortable raising their heels off the ground when straddling the seat. See Kids Bike Sizing Guide.
† STANDOVER HEIGHT is measured from the top of the top tube to the ground, passing directly by the front of the chainring.

FITTING YOUR RIDER

Getting your kid on the right size bike is important and easy! All you need is:

RIDER INSEAM = Your child's inseam, measured from the top of the crotch directly to the ground. (This is NOT a pant leg inseam measurement).
RIDER EXPERIENCE = Your child's ability, comfort and confidence levels while riding a bike.

With these two pieces of information, you can easily calculate the MINIMUM SEAT HEIGHT your child needs on their new bike.

See our Kids Bike Sizing Guide for more details. And see Choosing the Best Bike for YOUR Child for our comprehensive guide to find your kid's next bike!

If you do have any further questions or concerns about sizing, please contact us and one of our Kids Bike Experts would be happy to help!

Returns & Warranty

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Our "Ride Happy" Guarantee: We want you to love your purchase, but if you are not completely satisfied, we offer hassle-free returns on all orders.

You have 30 days from receiving your order to initiate your return with us:

Returns must be in NEW condition with original packaging and product tags.
You are responsible for packaging and return shipping. You may purchase a return shipping label from us, which is likely your least expensive option with our discounted rates.
Regarding bikes, please take it for a "test ride" to make sure it's right for your Rider! Our standard for still being in new condition after a "test ride" is similar to a local bike shop offering test rides outside its shop. We understand some "dust on the tires," but please keep it new (and hold on to packaging) until you are sure you're keeping it!
Your original shipping cost is non-refundable.

If you'd like to return your order, please start here.

WARRANTY

Ready Set Pedal stands behind all products we sell. Most of our brands (including all bikes) offer a limited warranty. We will work directly with the manufacturer (on your behalf) to evaluate and process your warranty claim. If the issue/defect is deemed eligible to be covered under warranty, we work to get you a replacement, repair or refund as quickly as possible. If you're experiencing an issue/defect with an order, please contact us for support.

Frames of all Commencal Kids models are guaranteed for 5 years. Ride Alpha brand components are guaranteed for 2 years. Additional warranty details (including terms and conditions) can be found here.

Great beginner mountain bike

This is an AMAZING bike! It is beefy and my son has no problem controlling it. I took him on his first dirt trail, and the bike performed flawlessly. I have nothing bad to say about this bike. He began with a Guardian Ethos bike (great bike too) and graduated to this one. It is a good looking bike too.

Shipping could have been a little faster. Trying to tell a kid that his bike hasn't shipped two days in a row was not fun.

Kids 16 bike

Excellent 👌 yeah

The absolute best purchase ever

My son had a bicycle with training wheels. We took them off and he wouldn’t ride it with the back brake in the crank. I found this bike and it was a game changer. He instantly started peddling and picked up quickly how to use the hand brakes. The next day we went on a 3 mile bike ride.

Beautiful little bike my 4 year old daughter is going to love. Ordered the bike and it was delivered 2 days later. Nicely packaged. Can’t go wrong with ready set pedal.

Love it!

We bought our son this bike for his 5th birthday and we love it so far! We were looking for something with hand brakes and more of a mountain bike style. This checked all the boxes, and it came with lights! Excellent quality.

Huge mistake

Didn’t think my son would pick up the brakes and new gearing so fast. Now he is ripping it around like he’s been riding for years. He loves it and now I can’t get him off it. So happy with this product highly recommend

Awesome kids bike

The bike arrived fast. Assembly was easy and everything worked flawlessly. Nice quality bike.

Confidence Builder!

My son just turned 5 and he loves biking! We had a woom 14 inch before getting this and it was a great natural progression! This is his first 16 inch mountain bike and it is truly the perfect fit for his body! It has given him so much confidence to and he's building a lot of strength. Highly recommend !

Awesome ripper!

We made the hump from the ramones 14 to the 16. My son is loving the bigger wheels and it is allowing him to charge harder. We love the quality of this bike. Best 16 on the market

Great bike

For $350 it’s a great 16” kids bike that introduces them to hand brakes.

Missing seat post clamp bolt

After contacting the company, they wanted me to fill out a warranty claim rather than just sending me a bolt. Bike seems fine but I wish the customer service was better.

Solid 16" bike!

My kid was resistant to moving up from his beloved 14" Ramones but once it arrived and he test rode it, he hasn't looked back! Super easy to assemble and arrived within a few days of ordering. The only little thing is that one of the front rubber gaskets covering the front wheel bearings is rubbing somewhere slightly which is creating a sort of singing noise. I'm hoping it eventually wears in enough that it stops.

100% Satisfied

The bike is great, exactly what I expected but the staff were excellent, very helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend this business. Thanks.

Great bike for a little shredder.

I bought the 14" version of this bike for my daughter and didn't didn't have to think twice about buying 16" version, once she was big enough. It might be a couple of pounds heavier than some of the alternatives, but I can (well, she can) deal with that for the better modulation of disks over v-brakes. At 3 she's already smashing trails around Whistler on it!

Great

Super quick and easy

Great kids bike

My 4 year old loves his bike! They called and confirmed address which was fantastic! All was great, the bike was just missing the clamp for the seat so we went and bought one other wise great bike and service.

GREAT BIKE AND GREAT CUST. SUPPORT

GREAT BIKE AND SOLID BUILD QUIALITY. CUST SERVICE IS GREAT. THEY WILLL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE IN A TIMELY MATTER. I RECOMMNED THIS BIKE FOR YOUR LITTLE ONE.

Best bike for a 5 year old

Great bike for my daughter, she is recently learned how to ride without training wheels so she was ready for a bigger bike and this was perfect for her.

Best Bike Ever

This is our four year olds second bike and he loves it so much. He likes going to the bike park with it and it’s a big step up from our Woom bike and only weighs 5 pounds more!

Great bike for my 6 year old!

Got this bike for my son on his 6th birthday. He’s been loving it so far. Great quality bike!

Great

Bike good came fast

The best!

This bike is awesome! Tire to tire it's just how you would imagine a mini mountain bike should be. I'm very happy with our little Ramones and it's definitely got me looking at other Commencal bikes.

2022 Sliver with some Black and Pink font

Small step up from the Ramones 14. In hindsight we likely could have skipped purchasing. Only a few little adjustments needed after assembly. Front rotor outer diameter was cut off center causing it to interfere with the brake caliper out of the box. Centering the rotor on the hub got just enough clearance. Small caliper mount and pad adjustments needed. Used some electrical tape to increase the handle bar diameter for the headlamp bar mount to finish it off. Looking forward to more readily available 16inch tires!

Love to hear! Thanks for your feedback!

Bike for my grandson

Arrived fairly quickly. Is a pretty awesome bike!

Glad this worked out for you, hope your grandson loves the bike.

Bought a Bike and never got confirmation

I never got a confirmation email. I bought it for my son’s b-day

Best Kids Bike

Commencal definitely has a leg up on any other brand of kids bikes. The quality is unreal, and the sizing and geometry of them couldnt be better. My 3yr old absolutely love the Ramones 16" and was super comfortable from the moment he got on it. I will most definitely be buying Commencal for my next bike and any other kids bike i ever buy. Purchasing and shipping from Ready Set Pedal was probably the easiest and fastest purchase I've ever made. I highly recommend both the bike, and this company

Thanks! We appreciate you trusting us with this. Love seeing the kiddo enjoy their bike!

Fast shipping

Bike arrived with in the estimated time frame. Exactly what I ordered. Now for my kid to put some miles on the bike and if there is anything not up to par, I’ll work with the retailer to see how best to resolve the situation. Overall happy with the initial purchasing experience.
