Engineered to be lightweight and stable, inspiring confidence in your child's riding ability. The Frog 55 has adjustable Tektro brakes, 8-speed Shimano easy-change thumb shifters and 8 speed cassette hub. The all-aluminum bike has a high quality frame, easily adjusted saddle height and a crank length of 114mm. Versatility at its best with Kenda knobby off-road tires (that can also be used on the road or bike path).

FROG 55 IN ACTION

Here is a 6 year old riding the Frog 55. This child is 47" tall with an inseam of 18.75". He is on the small side for this bike, but because he has been pedaling for 2 years he has no problem riding it. Starting and stopping is a bit of a stretch for him to reach the ground.

The Frog 55 is a great bike and was designed with a lighter weight intentionally. Our demo rider was just ready to size up to a 20-inch bike and the 55 worked perfectly for her. She was able to immediately pedal off quickly, shift gears easily, navigate other cyclists in the park and had a beaming smile the entire time. Her father mentioned that he appreciated the room for her to grow on the frame, that she was significantly faster, and that she really enjoyed the bright green color, as it is her favorite!

Great knowledge & service, great lightweight bike

I bought my 7 year old son a Frog 5 20" bike and it's an excellent product; lightweight, high quality, lots of great features and stylish. I called Ready, Set, Pedal to get some advice and discuss the pro's and con's of the different bikes that were on my shortlist. The people I spoke with were very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and discuss my purchase. I decided to go with the Frog and they processed and despatched the order quickly and efficiently. Great company.

Pretty good all-around bike

It’s lightweight and worked pretty well for a year. Great for commuting to school. My kid rides single track/MTB trails and it worked fine, but the tires are skinny and the frame more upright than most kids he rode with. The back brakes had some issues after a few months and our bike mechanic explained it was an inexpensive brake (probably like many kids’ bikes) and the spring mechanism inside was going. I had hoped to get 2 seasons out of it but given the overall experience probably will upgrade to a more mountain bike style bike.

Great bike!

My 6yo *loves* this bike! She figured out the gears right away and can go so much faster than on her 16” bike. The assembly was really well explained in videos and pamphlet. Very happy about our purchase!!
