Get Your Child Riding and Watch the Fun Begin! Learn with Hand Brakes from the Start.
There's nothing like the feeling of watching your child riding their first bicycle! The Frog Tadpole 12" Balance Bike is the perfect way to get them started on two wheels. This bike will make riding as easy as walking for your little one. It is essentially a toddler bike without pedals and is designed to introduce toddlers ages 2 to 3 to the world of cycling, allowing them to develop the balance necessary to ride a bicycle. This premium toddler’s bike has a lightweight, sturdy aluminum frame, weighing just 9.2 lbs, making the bike easy to maneuver and easy for parents to carry. It is available in an array of fun and bright colors that your child is sure to love!
The Tadpole balance bike is a great alternative to training wheels. It comes fully equipped with high-spec age-specific components, designed for comfort and longevity.
The toddler-sized saddle with quick-release seat post allows for easy height adjustment as they grow and become more confident, and the Tektro brakes with small, easy-to-reach brake levers, mean better control for mini riders. It also comes with chunky tires for maximum stability and grip, and for added security, the bike offers the added benefit of a steering lock, which acts as a safety mechanism to prevent oversteering and serious falls.
Please note: Valve dust caps are not supplied with this model in order to adhere to safety regulations.

See Kids Bike Sizing Guide. †STANDOVER HEIGHT is measured from the top of the top tube to the ground, passing directly by the front of the chainring.
FITTING YOUR RIDER
Getting your kid on the right size bike is important and easy! All you need is:
RIDER INSEAM = Your child's inseam, measured from the top of the crotch directly to the ground. (This is NOT a pant leg inseam measurement).
RIDER EXPERIENCE = Your child's ability, comfort and confidence levels while riding a bike.
With these two pieces of information, you can easily calculate the MINIMUM SEAT HEIGHT your child needs on their new bike.
