The Scamp MIPS II is Giro's smallest helmet designed for young (or future) riders but it still goes big with features and style. Taking design cues from adult helmets like Manifest Spherical, this lightweight in-mold helmet features impact-dissipating EPS foam with a sturdy polycarbonate shell, plus 13 vents for efficient cooling power. The MIPS® Evolve Core helps reduce rotational energy in certain impacts, and the Roc Loc® Junior fit system provides extra adjustability with a simple-to-use dial for several years of head protection for fast-growing rippers. The XS is designed for riders aged 1 and older while the Small is for riders aged 5 and older. Whether they're rolling along in a trailer or powering the pedals themselves, Scamp Mips II is going to make kids want more bike time.

HOW TO ADJUST THE FIT
Step 1: Adjust the fit system at the rear of the helmet for a snug, secure fit. Some helmets also include a vertical tuning feature that allows you to adjust the fore/aft tilt, for optimal positioning on your head.
Step 2: Adjust the straps so that they sit just below the earlobes.
Step 3: Adjust the buckle so that it rests against the back of the jaw/throat.
b>Step 4: Adjust the interior pads if needed.
Step 5: Check the fit to make sure helmet is comfortable and secure. It should not roll forward or back, or be able to slide off.
How to Measure: Wrap a soft measuring tape around your head, keeping the tape level from front to back. Repeat to ensure the measurement is the same. Note the measurement.
