Help your child enjoy their first rides with the Giro Scamp MIPS® Bike Helmet, equipped with everything from a pinchguard buckle to a ROC LOC JR adjustable fit system that makes fitting it correctly a breeze.
With a wide size range, your child can use this helmet as they grow from balance bikes to training wheels. The design is inspired by the adults' Montaro MIPS® / Montara MIPS®. Since the Scamp is available in a range of kid-friendly colors and designs, let your child pick out their favorite so they'll be excited to wear it every time they ride. The Scamp MIPS® also has the inclusion of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, which we believe can redirect energy and provide more protection in certain impacts. The Roc Loc Jr. fit system with pinch-guard buckle provides an easy way to fit your kid's helmet quickly and securely.

- Small (fits heads with circumference of 49 - 53cm)
How to Measure: Wrap a soft measuring tape around your head, keeping the tape level from front to back. Repeat to ensure the measurement is the same. Note the measurement.

Great helmet for our 3yo
Chose the Scamp XS primarily because it accommodates smaller head sizes, and purchased from Ready Set Pedal again for their all-around excellent customer service.

My kids have giant square heads. They have been wearing Giro Tremors since ages 2 and 4. I just got them new ones 2 years later (same sizes) as the old ones have seen some wear and tear, but no real accidents. The helmets are very adjustable, well ventilated, and my kids don't complain about them; the visors come in handy as well. I hope I don't ever have to test out if MIPS is worth the money, but I feel MIPS is the safest way to go.

This helmet fits my daughter perfectly and feels really secure and comfortable, even with the straps tightened properly. We tried several other mid-priced helmets which did not work.
