Our son got his Frog 62 MTB when he was 7. He was small on it then so still fits it at age 9. It's light enough that he can ride it all the way up Vail Mtn. It's tough enough that it can handle all different types of terrain from rocks in the desert to mountain descents. It's been a GREAT bike!
Not only is this bike amazing, but I was a little worried a 24 inch may be too big for my son who is 50 inches tall. He had absolutely no problems riding it the second it was put together. And the Breaks and Gear shifting! Finally some levers small and easy enough for his little hands. Its a great bike and Ready Set Pedal delivered it right on schedule :)
This is the second Frog 62 I have purchased from Ready Set Pedal. The first was for my 8yr old daughter and this one is for my 6yr old son. It has made him a way more confident rider. He is now shredding trails that he couldn't get down without help on his old bike. These are the perfect bikes for kids who are riding single track and need a real mountain bike to ride.
I bought this bike for my daughter who had outgrown her 20". It has been a huge step up and she is now able to get up most of the big climbs we are doing. I did install a longer set of cranks with a small chainring since she was already used to the length from riding the tandem with me. She is so happy with the bike!
