The Frog 62 Hybrid 24" Kids bike features a strong, high quality, lightweight frame, designed specifically for your child's size. The adjustable Tektro brakes inspire confidence and are easy to adjust for the reach of small hands. The 8-speed Shimano easy-change thumb shifters and an 8 speed cassette hub make learning gears easy and climbing hills a breeze. Now coming with a shorter crank length of 127mm, the Frog 62 is offering more pedaling efficiency than every before.

Frog bikes are also easier to pedal due to a unique crank design from the renowned bicycle engineer Dimitris Katsanis (of Team GB Olympic fame). The new design reduces the Q-factor (the space between the pedals), allowing children to push more directly down when cycling, so converting more of their energy into motion. Only Frog applies this level of rigor to the design of kids’ bikes.

* Minimum inseam measurement for a child who is large enough to ride this bike. Beginner Riders must reach the ground comfortably and flat footed while straddling the seat, meaning they require a larger minimum inseam. A NEW APPROACH IN KID'S BIKE DESIGN

The biggest selling feature of a Frog bicycle is the fit. Many mid-sized children’s bikes are just scaled up, tiny, kid’s bikes. By this I mean there is little allotment for size, the bars are typically too high, top tubes are short and they are designed as if the child doesn’t know how to ride a bike. Frog bikes on the other hand uses ongoing scientific testing at Brunel University to drive their bicycle fit dimensions. Due to the results of their testing, the bikes are built to fit children better, handle more accurately, and weigh substantially less than the competition.

Great bike

It was easy to set up. My son was riding his bike 20 mins after he opened the box. We had to adjust the saddle to make it a little more comfortable but then he was off riding over trails and learning his gears. Very happy customer.

Great bike arrived quickly.

Great knowledge & service, great lightweight bike

I bought my 7 year old son a Frog 5 20" bike and it's an excellent product; lightweight, high quality, lots of great features and stylish. I called Ready, Set, Pedal to get some advice and discuss the pro's and con's of the different bikes that were on my shortlist. The people I spoke with were very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and discuss my purchase. I decided to go with the Frog and they processed and despatched the order quickly and efficiently. Great company.

Pretty good all-around bike

It’s lightweight and worked pretty well for a year. Great for commuting to school. My kid rides single track/MTB trails and it worked fine, but the tires are skinny and the frame more upright than most kids he rode with. The back brakes had some issues after a few months and our bike mechanic explained it was an inexpensive brake (probably like many kids’ bikes) and the spring mechanism inside was going. I had hoped to get 2 seasons out of it but given the overall experience probably will upgrade to a more mountain bike style bike.
